Gardening In Prescott, Az
Our Mission: To inspire our community to experience the pleasure of gardening by providing access to seeds and the knowledge needed to grow them successfully.
The Seed Library is a partnership between Prescott Public Library, Prescott Farmers Market, and Janet Wilson with Prescott Gardener. Partial funding for the Seed Library is provided by the Friends of Prescott Public Library.
What is a Seed Library?
The Prescott Public Library is excited to offer an addition to our Library of Things collection – the Seed Library! The Seed Library offers vegetable, fruit, herb, and flower seeds suitable for our local growing conditions and seasons. This program is designed for beginning growers, but gardeners of every level are invited to check out seeds.
How does it work?
Choose from a wide variety of seeds for edible plants, herbs, and flowers and bring your seeds home to grow! Seed selection is based on what is known to grow well in our area. Seed varieties are rotated with the seasons and the supply is limited. All seeds are non-GMO.
Can anyone use it?
The Seed Library allows library card holders to "check out" six seed packets per month for free. Seeds must be checked out at the Ask a Librarian Desk at Prescott Public Library. The Seed Library is open during regular library hours and is located on the 2nd floor of the library.
What seeds are available?
Access the library's catalog to browse the entire selection of available seed varieties.
